Issues copying components?

If you're encountering issues while copying components, we're here to help you troubleshoot! One of the most frequent problems we come across is when customers attempt to copy components using Safari. To ensure a smooth experience, please avoid using Safari for component copying. If that isn't the issue, please keep reading below.

1. Use a supported browser

To ensure a seamless experience, please make sure you are using a supported browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. In most cases, we highly recommend Chrome as the best browser for copying components. Unfortunately, Safari does not support our copy-paste functionality and is not recommended for use.

Logout of your account, and back in

It's possible that you're encountering an authentication issue. To address this, please log out of your account and then log back in. This simple step may help resolve any issues you're facing.

Check your process is correct

As a precaution, please ensure that you are copying components as intended. To help you with this, we have a quick start article that outlines the most effective way to copy components. You can access the article here: Getting Started with Component Club. This resource should assist you in making the most of your component copying process.

Review Console Log

For a more in-depth understanding of any issues while copying, it's recommended to review the console log in your browser for any errors that might occur during copying events. To open the developer console in Google Chrome, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Chrome Menu located in the upper-right-hand corner of the browser window.
  2. Select "More Tools," and then choose "Developer Tools."

Alternatively, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • On macOS: Press Option + ⌘ + J.
  • On Windows/Linux: Press Shift + CTRL + J.

Once you've opened the developer console, please try copying a component and check the console for any error messages. This will provide valuable insights into any potential issues and help in diagnosing the problem effectively.

Try another device

If you're still experiencing issues despite trying the previous steps, it's advisable to attempt using another device. In rare cases, certain devices may have clipboard manipulation issues that affect their interaction with our functionality. We understand that this can be frustrating, but if the problem persists after trying the above solutions, please consider testing on an alternative device.

Should the issues persist on a different device, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for further assistance. You can contact us at support(at)flowbase.co, and our team will work diligently to help you find a resolution. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we're here to support you.
